  • Joshua's First Birthday
    october 24, 2012

    Hi friends!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve last updated but so much has been going on in our household.  I’m finally in my last trimester and we only have 11 more weeks before Husband and I welcome baby Deacon into our lives (if he comes on time, that is)!  In the meantime, we’ve been busy preparing Deacon’s nursery, packing for our babymoon (we leave today!!), planning a Thanksgiving trip to Husband’s hometown of Seattle, as well as awaiting his graduation in December.

Things have been busy for {jane} events as well as we have been gearing up for the fall/winter season of weddings and events.  Many have been asking and for those of you who are curious, {jane} events will still be in business for 2013!  In fact, we have already started booking weddings for the summer of 2013!

This next event showcases a first birthday from the summer.  I first met Christine, Joshua’s mom, at a wedding I coordinated last fall so when she contacted me about helping her with Joshua’s first birthday, I was beyond thrilled!  She is absolutely one of the sweetest clients I’ve ever worked with!  All of my clients hold a special place in my heart but Christine was the first client I took on after I discovered I was pregnant.  She was so gracious and understanding of my morning sickness and nausea that she was the one asking me if I was ok and to take a break.  Who does that?!?

This amazing first birthday was held at Medieval Times located in Buena Park, CA.  I am ashamed to admit that after 22 years of living in Southern California I have never had the opportunity to visit this magical place.  Naturally, we had to go with a knight and armor theme!  Here are some images taken by the great Jon Kim Photography:

    How adorable is he?!

The beautiful family!  Many blessings to you and your growing family!!
