I’m so excited to share this 1st birthday I designed for a previous bride and groom of mine. They are the first of my former clients to have a little babe and I was thrilled when they approached me to help plan their little one’s birthday. As a mom myself, I know what a huge accomplishment it is to survive the first year of motherhood and wanted to make sure their baby boy’s 1st birthday was one they would remember for years to come~
A lot of mommies with boys approach me in need of help designing their son’s 1st birthday because they feel everything is centered around little girls. Personally, I love taking on the challenge of planning birthdays for little boys and immediately thought of Where the Wild Things Are. I’ve always loved this book, especially as a former teacher. However, instead of the typical dark, woodland theme associated with this book, we decided to go with a modern, but playful approach. A huge thank you to Hannah from The Things Hannah Loves for designing these paper goods (always on point) and John Park Photography for beautifully capturing Owen’s 1st rumpus!
What’s a 1st birthday celebration without a custom photobooth inspired by a popular scene in the book??
